How to Apply

If you decide that Travers Smith might be the firm for you, it could not be simpler.

You can either apply for a training contract and then impress us at the interview, or you can come on one of our vacation schemes.

Our criteria
If you have achieved 2As and 1B (excluding General Studies) at A level or equivalent, have achieved, or are realistically expected to achieve, a minimum 2:1 honours degree or equivalent and have or qualify for permission to work in the UK please apply online to Germaine VanGeyzel our Graduate Recruitment Manager.

Please note that we do not accept applications sent by email or by post.

If you have not achieved the required A level grades or degree due to extenuating circumstances, we will still consider your application. Please provide details in your covering letter.

If you do not currently have permission to work in the UK please provide full details of how you would qualify for permission so that we can consider whether or not it will be possible for us to progress your application.

We pay all UK travel expenses to second-round interviewees and contribute up to £50 for expenses for first interviews.

The Solicitors Regulation Authority rules forbid the offer of training contracts to both law and non-law students before the September preceding their graduation.

Our closing date for applications for September 2016 is 31 July 2014.

UPDATE:  Applications opened for finalists and graduates in October 2013 and we have been recruiting on a rolling basis since then.  Given the high number of applications already received, we will now only be offering further interviews after the 31 July closing date.
