We'll give you responsibility from day one so you'll quickly find yourself on the phone to clients, in meetings and handling your own work (with guidance where needed) much sooner than you might otherwise expect.
On larger transactions, you'll be an important member of the team, going to all relevant meetings and corresponding with clients and other advisers. You'll be treated very much like a qualified lawyer and will often find that your opposite number on deals is already qualified.
You'll also find that Travers Smith has a refreshing lack of bureaucracy. We don't want you bogged down with red tape, forms and administration, and we're virtually alone among City law firms in not burdening our trainees or qualified lawyers with billing or chargeable hours targets.
