Appraisals

We never forget that your future is our future. Like every assistant, you will have a supervising partner who is responsible for directing and encouraging your professional development.

However, we believe that this should be an iterative process: feedback should be given whenever required, not left unsaid until an annual review. That said, we do have a formal appraisal programme based on annual reviews conducted in two stages: first by your supervising partner and then by the head of your department.

Senior assistants are also appraised by our Managing Partner. Although there is no formal structure for these appraisals (substance being more important to us than form), they are based on a generic review form which is intended to benchmark individual performance against our demanding criteria and to add an element of consistency and continuity to each assistant's personal development plan.
