Travers Smith advises Lyceum Capital on the sale of M&C Energy Group Limited
A Travers Smith team led by corporate partner Paul Dolman has advised Lyceum Capital Partners LLP ("Lyceum") and other selling shareholders on the sale of M&C Energy Group Limited ("M&C") to Schneider Electric SA ("Schneider"), a French multinational energy management company, for an undisclosed amount.
Lyceum is a longstanding client of Travers Smith and was previously advised by them on the original £22.1 million management buy-out of M&C in December 2009.
Lyceum is an independent investment firm that invests in innovative and growing mid-sized UK-headquartered businesses. It has a strong investment record across a number of industries, having acquired over 60 businesses in the UK and internationally over the last ten years.
M&C is a leading independent provider of energy procurement, compliance and performance services. It serves over 4,000 clients in more than 15 countries from 21 international offices across Europe, Asia-Pacific and North America.
Schneider is a global specialist in energy management with operations in more than 100 countries. It offers integrated solutions across multiple market segments, including energy and infrastructure, industrial processes, building automation and data centres/networks.
The Travers Smith team also included tax partner Russell Warren and senior corporate associate Adam Orr.
Schneider was advised by Jones Day and M&C´s management team was advised by Burness.
