We have substantial experience in insurance matters, usually acting for claimants. We have handled cases involving avoidance for non-disclosure and/or misrepresentation, coverage disputes, illegality and insolvency.
We have experience of disputes involving policies in a number of areas, including bankers blanket bond, business interruption, D&O, professional negligence, credit guarantee, contractors' all risk, fidelity, permanent health and life insurance.

A selection of insurance-related matters which we have handled includes those where we have acted for:

The claim was disputed on the grounds of misrepresentation, non-disclosure and late notification

- a UK bank in connection with indemnity insurance claims relating to US litigation brought by the families of a number of people killed or injured in Hamas terrorist atrocities in Israel
- a UK bank bringing a City Disputes Panel arbitration against about 40 insurers on its Bankers Policy for an indemnity for defence costs and settlement payments paid out in relation to various US proceedings
