Pro Bono - Access to Justice

We are committed to broadening the range of people who can access our legal skills. We believe that the best way for us to help is by giving our time and expertise. Highlights of our recent activity include:

  • Refugees at Home
    We have provided extensive pro bono support to Refugees at Home, a charitable organisation that connects those with a spare room in their home with refugees in need of accommodation. In 2016, we received three awards for our involvement in this project:
    - 'Law in the Community/Pro Bono Award' : Halsbury Legal Awards
    - 'CSR Initiative of the year' : Business Legal Awards
    - "Best contribution by a firm with a London head office" : LawWorks Awards
  • A4ID
    We support Advocates for International Development (A4ID) - a global charity that works with lawyers to promote international development and eradicate global poverty through its pro bono broker and legal education services.
  • Law Centres
    We have a longstanding partnerships with law centres across London, where trainees and qualified solicitors attend as volunteer advisers to advise on a range of legal issues.
  • Domestic Violence Intervention Project 
    This charity with services across London works to stop domestic violence and to reduce the harm it causes to women, children and families.  We have provided pro bono support on a number of pension related matters over the past year.
  • Mind
    We have supported Mind, the mental health charity and our current major charity partner, in developing standard sponsorship agreements forms.
  • Brighter Futures Zambia
    We have provided a range of legal support to this small charity which work with AIDS/HIV orphans and their carers in Southern Zambia.
