Kathleen has been a partner in the Tax department since 2001, and was head of the department from July 2007 to January 2017. She specialises in private equity transactions and regularly acts for both institutional investors and management teams.
She is individually recommended by Chambers UK and PLC as one of the City's leading tax practitioners. She is described in the Chambers UK guide as "incredibly pragmatic, intellectually spectacular and able to explain issues using incredibly simple and straightforward terminology.”
Kathleen was a member of the BVCA Tax Committee from 2002 to 2017 where she was regularly involved in discussions with HMRC on the BVCA's behalf.
In January 2017 Kathleen was appointed as a non-executive director on the Board of the Office of Tax Simplification.
