Nigel joined Travers Smith in 2006 and became a partner in 2007. He is head of the Competition department at Travers Smith. Nigel advises on EU, UK and multi-jurisdictional merger control matters, as well as the full range of behavioural EU and UK competition law matters.
Nigel is experienced in competition litigation. In addition, he advises on utilities regulation. He has experience across a variety of industry sectors including financial services, technology, energy and infrastructure, media, retail and consumer goods.
Nigel is a former Chair of the Competition Section of The Law Society.
According to Chambers, Nigel is ''very user-friendly'' and has ''very strong negotiating skills''. According to Legal 500, he is ''smart'', ''flexible'' and ''able to think creatively and commercially''.
