Stephanie is a partner in our Dispute Resolution Department. She is a commercial litigator, acting for domestic and international clients across a broad range of contentious matters, often involving complex claims of high-value. She has particular expertise in the financial services sector – both in litigation and contentious regulatory investigations – and in matters involving allegations of fraud. She also has experience of insolvency, environmental, intellectual property and defamation disputes and her cases frequently have a multi-jurisdictional element to them.
Stephanie's recent and current experience includes the following:
- Acting for Hewlett-Packard group companies in relation to accounting fraud claims arising out of the US$11 billion acquisition of Autonomy Corporation plc in 2011. A 29 week trial is listed to commence in March 2019
- Representing both individuals and firms in relation to regulatory investigations and enforcement actions brought by the FCA, the European Commission, the US Department of Justice and the US CFTC
- Representing Sebastian Holdings, Inc. in its multi-billion dollar claim in the Commercial Court against Deutsche Bank arising from a series of exotic derivatives transactions; and
- Acting for Merlin Entertainments in relation to civil proceedings for damages and an injunction for alleged noise nuisance at the Alton Towers theme park.
Stephanie is recommended in The Legal 500 UK, 2017 for her contentious financial services work. She is described as "a star of the future who shows wisdom beyond her years".
