AJ advises asset managers on their formation and restructuring work, with many involving multi-jurisdictional structures. He also has experience of manager-led spin-outs, establishing carried interest arrangements, and ongoing fund administration. AJ has advised a number of managers on designing and implementing bespoke private fund structures which address specific regulatory requirements. In particular, AJ has worked on cross departmental projects related to the establishment of risk retention compliant fund structures for CLO management houses.
AJ advises a number of pension funds and other institutional investors on their fund investment programmes – primarily those focused on private equity, growth and venture capital, real estate, and debt. AJ understands the market trends with respect to fund terms in both the open and closed-ended fund space, and how (if at all) these differ for funds raised by either European or North American asset managers.
