Alex is the Legal Operations Manager for our Pensions and Derivatives & Structured Products teams.
Alex joined Travers Smith as a trainee in 2013. He qualified into the Pensions Department in 2015, where he advised pension scheme trustees, scheme employers, and parties to corporate transactions on all aspects of pensions law, before transitioning into his current role in 2022.
As Legal Operations Manager, Alex uses his legal experience to identify and implement changes which are designed to drive efficiencies in working practices and enhance the client experience. He plays a key role in the day-to-day operation of the Pensions and DSP departments, and supports the partner groups in ensuring the teams' strategies are implemented efficiently and effectively.
Alex is actively involved in Travers Smith's diversity and inclusion initiatives and is a member of the firm's Enable Group. He is also a regular speaker at external D&I events, with a particular focus on mental health and social mobility.
