Alexa is a partner in the Dispute Resolution Department.
She is an experienced general commercial litigator, regularly advising on high-value and multi-jurisdictional disputes. She has acted on a broad range of contractual and non-contractual commercial matters including, amongst others, cases involving civil fraud and competition litigation.
Alexa has experience of litigation before the High Court and Court of Appeal, as well as arbitration. She has also acted for clients seeking urgent injunctive relief from the court.
Alexa was recently part of the multi-award-winning team on the Kaupthing case, in which Travers Smith represented Icelandic lawyer Jóhannes Rúnar Jóhannsson in a claim brought by property tycoon Robert Tchenguiz against Mr Jóhannsson and Grant Thornton UK LLP. The team was awarded (jointly with Simmons & Simmons) Litigation Team of the Year at both The Lawyer Awards 2019 and the Legal Business Awards 2019 as well as Banking Litigation Team of the Year at The Legal Week Commercial Litigation & Arbitration Awards 2019.
