Daniel is a fourth seat trainee solicitor in the Corporate Department.
I have played in bands for over a decade and have been lucky enough to continue this throughout my time at Travers Smith, both writing for and performing with my band, in which I am the singer. I also spend a lot of my free time practising combat sports, reading (particularly about history and philosophy), shopping (because we all need a vice) and volunteering.
I was drawn to Travers Smith by its reputation for offering excellent training, high quality work and a genuinely welcoming culture. I have not been disappointed on any of these fronts and have enjoyed working on fascinating matters alongside some great people. In my first two seats, I was in the Financial Services and Markets Department and in the Derivatives and Structured Products Group, doing a mix between advisory and transactional work in both. In both seats I have enjoyed working on various aspects of regulatory law that impact the firm's clients, and I am now looking forward to the new challenges of contentious work as I move into my Disputes seat.
