Emma is a third seat trainee solicitor in the Commercial, IP & Technology Department.
Outside of the office, I enjoy travelling, frequent theatre trips and catching up with friends. After catching the travel bug at university, I take every opportunity to explore different parts of the world. Highlights include learning to salsa in Colombia and sky diving in New Zealand. When not on holiday, I can often be found in a wine bar with friends, or indulging my love for theatre and dance at the Royal Opera House.
Travers Smith originally stood out to me at a university networking event due to the friendliness and approachability of its partners and trainees. I also honestly enjoyed both of my interviews, which felt much more like interesting discussions than one-sided interrogations. The people you meet at the firm are hard-working but also keen to have a laugh.
My first two seats in the Dispute Resolution and Corporate Departments have allowed me to experience a wide variety of work. From preparing witness statements in a foreign language in Disputes, to assisting on a multi-billion pound deal in Corporate, I continue to be given interesting, high-end work with a good amount of responsibility.
