Faryaal is a fourth seat trainee solicitor in the Private Equity and Financial Sponsors Department.
Having recently moved to London from Birmingham, I relish every opportunity to visit museums and watch theatre productions. The change of scene is refreshing and living in Bloomsbury has made exploring London all the more enjoyable. I enjoy playing squash, cycling, experimenting in the kitchen (thanks to the first lockdown which brought out my creative side) and reading on geopolitics and current affairs. I am passionate about increasing social mobility and work closely with social organisations and charities to help support and mentor aspiring law students, especially in the West Midlands.
My experience with Travers Smith has been entirely positive, from the University careers fair in first year to interview. The collegiate atmosphere and supportive people at all levels of the firm appealed to me. The unique training programme and the high level of responsibility given to trainees also stood out.
