Fiona is a fourth seat trainee solicitor in the Dispute Resolution Department.
I enjoy both watching and playing sport. I played lacrosse for my county and whilst I was at university, and I currently play netball as part of the firm’s netball team. My latest pastime is learning (quite unsuccessfully, for now!) how to play golf. I also love cooking, socialising with my friends, and spending time with my family.
I wanted to work at Travers Smith as I thought that the combination of a close-knit team, a small trainee intake, and no billable hour targets, would create one of the best training environments in the City. This has since been confirmed; the culture at Travers is incredibly supportive, sociable and one I am proud to be part of.
My first seat was with the Private Equity and Financial Sponsors Group and my second was in the Tax Department. Some of the tasks I have been involved with include negotiating acquisition documents, managing the due diligence and disclosure process on a transaction and drafting employee incentive plans. I am looking forward to the new challenges that lay ahead as I begin my third seat in the Finance Department.
