George is a second seat trainee solicitor in the Competition Department.
Growing up across East and Southern Africa, I became accustomed to a certain level of fluidity in my surroundings. However, the two mainstays wherever I went were the natural landscapes, and my father's love for British pop and Afro-funk music. Over the past year, I have developed a keen interest for tending to a growing collection of houseplants and vinyl records in an attempt to carry on the feeling of home that my parents instilled in me during our travels. In addition to the above I also enjoy reading and exploring London's parks on foot or using my roller-skates.
I chose Travers Smith because of its stellar reputation for training, its commitment to pursuing and growing its pro-bono mandates, and the prominence of its work in the private equity industry. I would also add the personable nature of everyone at the firm to that list.
