George is a partner in the Private Equity and Financial Sponsors Group.
George is a corporate partner, specialising in pan-European and international private equity and M&A transactions. His clients include corporates, institutional investors, alternative asset managers, senior management teams, founders and investee companies.
George advises on a full range of transactions including leveraged buyouts, consortium deals, bolt-on acquisitions, carve-outs, co-investments, minority deals, recapitalisations, divestments, distressed M&A, public-to-privates, joint ventures, reorganisations and restructurings together with advising on general corporate matters.
George also advises the firm's global asset management clients on GP-stake transactions, GP succession planning (including restructuring ownership and governance arrangements) and structured secondary market liquidity solutions (including GP-led and LP-led secondary transactions).

George is ranked as a 'Notable Practitioner' for M&A and private equity work in the UK in IFLR1000 2019.
George has been recognised as a Private Equity "Rising Star" and one of "the next generation of City private equity talent" by Law.com.
Other roles and background
George is a member of the steering group for the firm’s Sustainable Business Initiative and an ESG lead. In these roles and through his transactional work, George focuses on finding ways to assist businesses and investors in making a positive impact on society and the environment and in identifying and assessing ESG-related risks and opportunities.
George is a founding member of the Private Equity & Financial Sponsors Charity Committee, and the driving force behind CSR initiatives such as the partnership with Legal Experts in Schools.
George has previously spent time on secondment with Bridgepoint.
George trained at Travers Smith and became a partner in 2018.
