Jessica is a partner and Head of M&A Tax.
Jessica's practice includes advising on mergers, acquisitions and restructurings in both the public and private space. She advises corporates, private equity houses, investee companies, and management teams on a wide range of transactional, structural, and incentive-based issues. She also provides ongoing advisory work to clients including in relation to enquiries and disputes.
Jessica served as the first female president of the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA) Tax Law Commission and is currently an officer of the Taxes Committee of the International Bar Association and a member of of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Taxation. She chairs the the board of charitable trustees of the National Children's Choir of Great Britain and is a board member of the Trust of the Orchestra of the Age of the Enlightenment. Her work has been published by AIJA, the IBFD and the Tax Journal, the International Tax Review and Thomson Reuters Corporate Finance, among others.
Before joining Travers Smith Jessica worked as a legal professional in Dubai and as a death penalty defender in Malawi. She read law at Merton College Oxford and Harvard Law School.
Jessica is listed as a 'Next Generation Partner' in The Legal 500 2023 and is noted as a 'Global Leader' for Advisory Corporate Tax by Who's Who Legal 2021.
