Katie trained at Travers Smith and is a partner in the Finance Department specialising in fund finance, leverage finance and general corporate lending.

Katie is highly regarded in the fund finance and leverage finance markets being rated as "Up and Coming" in the Chambers and Partners 2023 rankings. Katie regularly advises some of the most active fund finance providers and borrowers on the full range of products available in the market, including subscription, hybrid, NAV, secondaries and GP support debt facilities and preferred equity products. Katie also frequently acts for banks and non-bank lenders on cross-border and domestic leverage finance acquisitions and refinancings.

Industry recognition

Katie was a speaker at Travers Smith's Alternative Insights summit for asset management senior leadership teams in 2022, and was a panellist on “The Acceleration of the Portfolio Financing Trend” panel at the BVCA summit in 2020. Katie also spent 10 months on secondment to the Fund Finance team at Investec Bank plc in 2015.

Katie co-authored "Newer liquidity solutions for alternative asset fund managers - increasingly core" in the 2023 edition of Global Legal Insights - Fund Finance.
