Natalie is a fourth seat trainee solicitor in the Dispute Resolution Department.
I really enjoy travelling, immersing myself into new cities and exploring the outdoors.
Even as early as the graduate recruitment networking events and the interview stage, it was clear to me that everyone I met at Travers Smith was very personable and approachable. At interview stage the partners wanted to get to know me for who I was, and they still do. It was the most challenging interview I had in the City and it was a good representation of what lay ahead. During my training contract, I am continually challenged, which I believe is helping me to really achieve my full potential. I feel that my colleagues want to see me grow professionally and are supporting me every step of the way. Most recently I have been lucky enough to sit with people who I look up to as role models which has been both very motivating and very special.
I have been fortunate enough to have a lot of responsibility and to really own my role in both advisory and transactional work. A lot of my work can be described as “firsts” and that’s allowed me to really grasp both the subject area and the practical application. As a trainee, when you can take a problem away and come back with a commercial solution that not only pushes the transaction forward but educates everyone on an entirely new point, it is very satisfying.
