Sarah is a third seat trainee solicitor in the Employment Department.
I grew up in Aberdeenshire before going to university and I love going back to visit friends and family. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, running and skiing. Before starting my training contract, I had the opportunity to take six months off which I used to travel in Japan and work as a chalet chef/host in Méribel.
I was offered a training contract in 2016 after completing an enjoyable summer vacation scheme. Everyone I met was friendly and engaging, and I knew I wanted to be part of a firm that carried out top tier work yet maintained a supportive, close-knit atmosphere.
During my first seat most of my work has involved borrower-side leveraged finance, including financing a public-to-private takeover, a leading negotiation consultancy, and the UK's first online mortgage provider. As a trainee I draft and review ancillary documents for entry into, amendment of, or accession to various debt arrangements and I am looking forward to the new opportunities and tasks I will have as I move into the Funds Department.
