In July 2015, Travers Smith released "Calling the Shots: The Evolution of European PE Funding", produced by Travers Smith in partnership with Debtwire‎, the leading provider of analysis of distressed debt, leveraged finance and asset-backed markets‎.

Based on interviews with 150 senior private equity professionals in Europe, the survey illustrates how the European debt market has evolved over the last few years, shifting away from a bank debt-dominated market towards a more competitive lending environment, in which private equity sponsors have a wider range of funding options with more attractive terms and pricing on offer.  The survey collates information pertaining to 461 deals completed over a 12 month period, and identifies some key findings and trends.
