Travers Smith will be in attendance at the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA) Half-Year Conference, being held in Edinburgh from 16th November to 19th November.
The conference will focus on various environmental and sustainability aspects of ESG, and one year on from COP26 and against the backdrop of the ongoing COP27, the conference will consider a variety of topics including:
- Energy Security & a Net Zero World (opportunities, challenges and risks arising from energy security including a focus on off-shore wind);
- Green-washing - the benefits and risks of published sustainability goals and representations;
- Financing renewable energy projects: exploring project finance, green bonds and green loan principles;
- The rise of climate litigation; and
- A Values-Driven Business Model: How to Build (and Grow) an "Impact Law" Practice.
