Alicia is a first seat trainee solicitor in the Corporate M&A and ECM department.
Growing up in Seoul, I was used to a city that never slows down, so London quickly began to feel like home. Studying Psychology with Education at university here gave me a real appreciation for how important human connection is, both in and out of the workplace - a perspective that steered me towards law. When I’m not at my desk, I like to make the most of London’s green spaces, browse the shelves at Waterstones (I can never resist the smell of an old book), or explore new cafés or restaurants on my ever-growing list. I also enjoy playing a round of golf – sometimes successfully, sometimes not so much, but always with enthusiasm.
I chose Travers Smith because it genuinely invests in its people, without ever losing focus on delivering excellent work for its clients. My time as a paralegal in the Finance team not only confirmed the positive reputation of the firm’s culture; it also gave me tangible opportunities to contribute from day one. I’m excited to build on those experiences as a solicitor and play my part in what makes the firm unique.
