Alisha Ladva

Trainee

Alisha is a first seat trainee solicitor in the Private Equity & Financial Sponsors department.

Aside from work, I love spending time with friends and family whether that's over a few drinks in a pub or hosting a dinner party at home. When I'm not in the office or with loved ones, I enjoy sketching, cooking and reading. On the sporty-side, I do a lot of long-distance running, and I am hoping to run my first marathon next year! Before joining Travers Smith as a trainee, I travelled around Central and South America for 4 months. Alongside meeting amazing people and trying incredible food, I fell in love with hiking. My favourites include hiking through Tayrona National Park in Columbia (which ended with a "comfortable" sleep overnight in a hammock on the beach) and doing the 5-day Salkantay trek to Macchu Picchu self-guided.

Before setting off on my travels, I was a paralegal in the Real Estate department at Travers Smith. This gave me an insight into life at Travers Smith and confirmed to me that whilst the firm is fast-paced and high-performing, it values its people, has excellent training and has supportive partners and associates. I particularly value the room-sharing system. This not only contributes to the invaluable training Travers Smith has to offer but also highlights the non-hierarchical structure. All these factors (and many more) have made Travers Smith a great place to begin my legal career.
