Gideon is an associate in the Real Estate department at Travers Smith.

Gideon Caplin is an associate in our Real Estate Group. Gideon has a broad practice, advising on the full spectrum of commercial property and financing transactions, including acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant advisory work and the real estate aspects of real estate finance and corporate real estate transactions. Gideon typically advises developers, lenders, sponsors, commercial occupiers and high net-worth individuals on their property dealings.

RECENT WORK*

Acted as lead legal advisor to a UK REIT on a £73 million debt refinancing of a c. 200 property portfolio.

Advised a UK fund on the surrender and re-letting of a 60,000 square feet commercial premises.

Advised a Singaporean lender on a c.£250 million loan to assist a sponsor’s acquisition of a prime London asset.

Acted borrower-side on a c.£120 million refinancing of a central London building.
