Head of Technology & Commercial Transactions

Louisa is Head of our Technology & Commercial Transactions Department and specialises in the fields of IP/technology and data protection.

Louisa's combined specialisations enable her to advise clients on large-scale technology projects as well as their day to day privacy compliance. She frequently leads major IT projects, such as system implementations, IT outsourcings and the use of AI in various sectors. She also advises on all aspects of software law, including licensing, protecting IP and the use of open source code.

Louisa has wide-ranging experience in data protection and confidentiality issues and regularly advises clients on their business-wide compliance in this area – particularly in relation to the direct marketing rules, privacy impact assessments, subject access requests and cross-border data transfers. She frequently advises in the event of major cyber-attacks, data breaches and system failures – helping clients to navigate their compliance obligations and assisting them with their wider crisis management.
