Sarah is a senior associate in our Technology & Commercial Transactions Department, where she specialises in technology, data and intellectual property matters. Sarah trained at Travers Smith and qualified into the department in March 2018.
Sarah regularly advises clients operating in the financial services, retail and technology sectors on large scale IT outsourcings and IT implementation projects, as well as complex AI matters. She also has extensive experience of advising on projects involving the development and licensing of software, the use of open-source code and the protection of IP rights.
Sarah's practice also involves advising clients on privacy and data protection compliance matters, including cross-border transfers of data, direct marketing, cyber-attacks and data breaches. She also advises on all aspects of intellectual property law, including domain name and copyright disputes, as well as branding and IP licensing arrangements associated with UK and international franchises.
Sarah joined Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu in Tokyo on secondment in October 2024, as part of the firm's Foreign Visiting Lawyer (FVL) Programme.
