Travers Smith's Fintech Amplifier

Raising the roof on your ambitions

Travers Smith's Fintech Amplifier

Overview

At Travers Smith, we don’t just advise innovators in fintech, market infrastructure and payments – we partner with them to help them achieve their ambitions.

We're thrilled to announce our very own dedicated incubator programme, Fintech Amplifier – a platform designed to empower early and growth-stage companies pioneering the next wave of payments, crypto, and financial services. We want to provide you with a platform to amplify your vision. By combining our deep industry expertise with your entrepreneurial flair, let's push the boundaries of what’s possible, together.

The programme will launch with its first cohort on 1 January 2026, and will run for the whole calendar year.

Applications have now closed for our 2026 cohort. If you have ambitions in this space though and would like to speak to someone, please email FintechAmplifier@traverssmith.com. The incubator is mainly open to companies based in the UK, but we share your global ambitions and are ready to support you as you scale internationally.

Why join Fintech Amplifier?

  • Receive a set amount of free legal advice to be used as you choose (with guidance from senior Travers Smith lawyers on the best way to spend this money to help your business) from 1 Jan 2026 to 31 Dec 2026.
  • Access to further legal advice at a heavy discount.
  • Alumni of Travers Smith's Fintech Amplifier will also be offered competitive alternative fee arrangements.

What does Travers Smith bring to Fintech Amplifier?

Expertise.

We have decades of experience supporting start-ups and early-stage fintechs – spanning start-up FMIs, payments firms, digital assets businesses and other technology companies looking to innovate and transform financial services. At the same time, we are forward-looking, creative, and uniquely placed to design from first principles.

Network.

Travers Smith's Fintech, Market Infrastructure & Payments Group has close relationships with key personnel at the regulators and supervisors. Our corporate and asset management teams have connections at some of the largest investment banks and global asset managers, and Travers Smith has links with numerous other intermediaries, overseas lawyers, and other advisers. We can help connect you to these industry leaders and jumpstart your fundraising ambitions.

Impact.

We don’t just apply the law, we help to shape it. We are valued members of all the key trade bodies and industry groups including: The Payments Association, UK Finance, the Digital Pound Foundation (Innovate Finance), Tech UK and Financial Markets Law Committee, to name a few, and we have connections in Parliament and beyond.

Don’t just take our word for it…

Want to hear more? Apply today

This programme is not open to FMIs – because, with our decades of experience designing and launching new FMIs, we don't think that this is the right solution for those unique businesses. If you want to design, launch or grow an FMI, we want to hear from you separately.

Please complete the form below to register your interest to participate in Fintech Amplifier. We will then share the full application pack with you, which must be completed before 7 November 2025.

Applications have now closed for our 2026 cohort. If you have ambitions in this space though and would like to speak to someone, please email FintechAmplifier@traverssmith.com
