A note from our Head of International

I am excited to bring you the Autumn edition of Travers Smith's International Insights.
As the year progresses we remain busy, with recent international mandates including advising Mizuho Financial Group on its acquisition of Augusta & Co, Lifezone Metals on its acquisition of BHP's 17% equity interest in Kabanga Nickel and Mitsubishi Estate on its acquisition of a majority interest in Patron Capital. Additionally, on the contentious side, our Dispute Resolution team continues to act for Hewlett-Packard companies in their fraud claims arising out of the acquisition of Autonomy, recently receiving a circa $1 billion judgment in Hewlett-Packard's favour.
In this edition, we are delighted to share some of the latest news from across the firm, including an update on the multi-award winning Domestic Abuse Response Alliance and our recent ranking in the Social Mobility Employer Index.
A particular upcoming highlight for me is looking ahead to the IBA Conference next week in Toronto. I am very much looking forward to connecting with many of you there and exploring new opportunities for collaboration.
This season, we've also had the pleasure of welcoming our third cohort of international secondees. Their new perspectives and enthusiasm are such an asset for our firm – a big welcome to those who have joined us.
We hope you enjoy this edition of International Insights, and as always, please get in touch if you would like to connect at any upcoming events.
Will Howard, Head of International
