Harriet is a third seat trainee solicitor in the Competition Department.
Before joining Travers Smith, I graduated from Durham University with an undergraduate degree in Geography, and went on to gain a master’s degree from King's College London in Geopolitics, Territory and Security. Outside of work, I love watching any kind of live music, visiting art galleries and long walks on the beach.
I applied to Travers Smith due to its excellent reputation and welcoming culture. From my vacation scheme to the first year of my training contract, I have not been disappointed. I have had the privilege of working alongside talented teams, being given high quality work, and making great friends across the firm.
My first seat was in Private Equity, and my second in Dispute Resolution, which has allowed me to experience contrasting areas of the law. During my Private Equity seat, I was involved in a number of mid-market private equity transactions. In my Disputes seat, I predominantly worked on the mammoth Hewlett Packard v Autonomy trial in the High Court.
