Charity partnerships

The firm provides substantial financial support to a major charity partner on a rolling two-year basis. Our major charity partner for 2020 – 2023 is The Felix Project.

Millions of people in the UK regularly experience hunger. 1.5 million adults in London struggle to afford to eat every day, and 400,000 children are at risk of missing the next meal. Meanwhile, the UK food industry generates almost 2 million tonnes of good, edible surplus food each year. The Felix Project makes it their mission to help combat both issues. The charity rescues surplus fresh food, that would otherwise go to waste, and redistributes it across London. The food is delivered to over 800 front-line charities, primary schools and holiday programmes in London, reaching vulnerable, homeless and people with mental health or those who simply cannot afford to buy regular, healthy food.

Over the next two years Travers Smith will be working closely with The Felix Project to support its ongoing activities, as well as assist the charity in achieving its strategic priorities. In addition to fundraising and volunteering, the firm will also be providing pro bono legal support to The Felix Project.
