Louisa is a partner in in our Commercial, IP & Technology Department and a member of the firm's Technology and Retail Sector Groups.

Intellectual property and technology law

Louisa specialises in intellectual property and technology law. She frequently leads major IT projects, such as system implementations and IT outsourcings and advises on all aspects of software, including licensing and the use of open source materials.

She also provides regulatory e-commerce and internet law advice to our clients with online businesses.

She frequently advises clients on cyber-attack and data loss scenarios, focusing on general crisis management strategy and notifications to the Information Commissioner and affected individuals. 

Data protection expertise

Louisa has wide-ranging experience in data protection and confidentiality issues and regularly advises clients on their business-wide compliance in this area – particularly in relation to the direct marketing rules, privacy impact assessments, subject access requests and cross-border data transfers.

She leads several large-scale GDPR compliance programmes and continues to advise a number of household name clients on their day-to-day privacy compliance needs.

Louisa is a member of the Society for Computers and Law.
