Ruby is an associate in our Funds Department.
Ruby specialises in investment funds, and has experience in wider corporate finance transactions, including primary and secondary equity issues, acquisitions and disposals, and general corporate advice.
In recent years, Ruby has specialised in the design, operation and global distribution of semi-liquid evergreen products. These "retailisation" or "democratisation" products are designed to diversify a manager's investor base away from purely institutional clients by structuring funds specifically targeted at wealth managers and private banks. She advises world-leading asset managers daily on the formation, portfolio composition, operation and global distribution of such products.
Ruby is a dual-qualified solicitor, admitted in Scotland and England & Wales. She has undertaken two client secondments: NatWest Bank plc. (2020-2021) and Brookfield Private Wealth (2023). She joined Travers Smith in May 2022.
Ruby was recognised twice at the Citywealth Future Leaders Awards 2024: Inspirational Individual of the Year and Lawyer of the Year – Associate.
