Our training and networking events are a platform for sharing guidance, best practice and insights on latest developments.
We deliver training through different media, including online webinars and podcasts for instantly accessible news, views and guidance. We do still place a premium on the collaborative benefits of face-to-face training, and (in normal times) we run a number of seminars throughout the year, as well as smaller roundtable discussions and bespoke briefings for particular clients.
Seminars and webinars
Our seminar/webinar programme covers “need to know” topics across the full spectrum of our practice areas, often a means of bringing our clients up to speed with significant legal or regulatory developments. You can sign up for forthcoming seminars/webinars and view recordings of past events here.
If you would like to join the mailing list for seminars/webinars on particular topics, please let us know your requirements.
Roundtable events
We and our clients value the opportunity to share views and collaborate in discussions on important legal or regulatory developments and topical issues at our smaller, roundtable events with a selected group of participants. If you would like to join us, please let us know and outline your areas of interest here.
Bespoke training
Delivering training which is tailored to our clients’ individual concerns is important to us, and we recognise that large seminars do not always add value, so many of our training sessions are developed specifically for a particular client and delivered at their own offices by our client teams. These sessions can cover compliance with new law or regulation or core topics, for example, Directors’ duties, Outsourcing or Privilege. If you have a particular training request, please get in touch with your usual contact at the firm, or complete our form.
Management skills training
Based on feedback as to the importance of skills development for in-house teams, we have introduced a programme of management skills training led by external trainers whom we know and trust or members of our Learning and Development team. These sessions range from bespoke masterclasses for GCs on Influencing the Board to Presentation Skills training for in-house team members. If you are interested in taking part or procuring training for your team, please contact Rachel Wevill, our Senior Learning and Development Manager, or your usual contact at the firm.
Networking events
Throughout the year, we run a number of networking events designed to enable you to share insights with your peers in other organisations. Many of these events have a facilitated discussion element based on topical legal and business issues. Look out for news on these events throughout the year, and let us know if you would like to be invited to this programme of events.
