Alex is a Senior Counsel in the pensions team.
Alex advises trustees and scheme sponsors on the full range of pension matters including complex benefit correction exercises, de-risking transactions, rule amendments and member disputes. Alex provides clear and pragmatic advice that helps clients to navigate the changing pensions landscape with confidence.
Alex is a leading member of our teams providing day-to-day advice to the trustees of many large UK hybrid pension schemes including schemes sponsored by Unilever, Associated British Foods and ING among others. Alex is also a core member of our team advising Nest, the UK's largest DC master trust with over 13 million members.
Alex is a Fellow of the Pensions Management Institute.
Pro bono work
Alex has been part of our team advising Refugees at Home, a pro bono client of the firm, since Refugees at Home's inception in 2016. Refugees at Home is a UK charity which connects those with a spare room in their home to refugees who are in need of somewhere to stay. Travers Smith has won several national pro bono awards for our work with Refugees at Home.
