Cindy is a senior associate in Finance, where she is part of the Derivatives & Structured Products Group. Cindy regularly advises UK pension schemes in relation to ongoing covenant support, negotiating guarantees, and security arrangements (some PPF-compliant) required to strengthen employer covenant.
Cindy advises UK pension schemes, corporates, and financial institutions on the negotiation of their derivatives, collateral, and clearing arrangements against the background of continuing regulatory developments, such as the European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR), the Securing Financing Transactions Regulation (SFTR), and the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID II). She has also advised financial market infrastructure entities in relation to the impact of the UK ring-fencing regime on the security arrangements which underpin the core retail payment systems in the UK, of which many banks and financial institutions are participants.
Cindy also has considerable experience in leveraged finance, acquisition finance, and general banking matters, and spent five years as a professional support lawyer within the Finance Group.
