Ruby is a first seat trainee in our Private Equity and Financial Sponsors department
Outside of work, I'm an avid reader, love spending time outdoors, and I have recently taken up tennis. I also make full use of my local cinema membership to see as many new films as I can, and I love watching live theatre and ballet whenever the opportunity arises. Coming from Berkshire, it might be a surprise to some that I am also a Manchester United fan and - sometimes naively - always look forward to watching games at Old Trafford with my family. Before joining the firm I was able to travel, including to the Australia and Vietnam, and would love to continue exploring the world alongside work.
I studied French and Italian at university, which is not only where I developed a love of these two cultures (the food, the wine, the coffee!), but also where I first interacted with Travers Smith at a presentation evening. I chose to train at the firm because I have always found that it lives up to its reputation for being friendly, down-to-earth, and offering a high-quality training programme. I am delighted to be starting my legal career at Travers Smith.
