Our dedicated Listed Company Advisory Team (LCAT), led from within our Corporate M&A and ECM Group, acts for over 50 quoted companies, including FTSE 100, 250, AIM and small/mid-cap.
We make it our business to provide tailored, practical advice to fully support the PLC board, company secretary, general counsel and legal team with all aspects of being a listed business. From directors' duties, market abuse, reporting obligations and annual general meetings, through to the management of board-level issues and stakeholder engagement, including all areas of corporate governance, sustainability and related environmental, social and governance (ESG) matters, our LCAT team supports our listed corporate clients by advising on the specific obligations relevant to each individual situation.
The team works closely with our specialist practice areas in Employment, Remuneration and Incentives, Operational Risk & Environment, Technology & Commercial Transactions, Pensions and Tax, in order to co-ordinate advice and ensure that our listed company clients have a consistent multi-disciplinary team that supports the progression of their business plan.
We aim to become a key strategic partner of our clients. We take the time to gain a thorough understanding of our clients' business structure, including immersing ourselves in their corporate and governance arrangements, to enable us to provide informed, relevant and quality legal advice.
Supporting our clients' businesses also includes looking to the future and ensuring that they are well prepared for what lies ahead in terms of any legal or regulatory changes that will need to addressed. The LCAT team engages in bespoke horizon scanning exercises, identifying upcoming changes affecting listed corporates and their group companies that require action.
