Food Waste Action Week: In conversation with Lucy French and Richard Smith


The first week of March was Food Waste Action Week, an annual event which aims to raise awareness of the environmental consequences of wasting food and promote activities that will help make wasting food a thing of the past.

As part of this year's event, Assistant Chef, Emily Winser, recorded a podcast with Lucy French from our Kitchen team and Richard Smith, Supply Chain Manager at The Felix Project.

As well as discussing the work of The Felix Project, particularly around food waste reduction, Rachel, Lucy and Richard also explored the current situation with food waste in the UK and what our Kitchen team is doing to reduce food waste in our client dining rooms and in Braithwaite's, as well as giving their tips for how you can reduce your food waste at home.
