Travers Smith joins latest Chambers Student Podcast to discuss the business case for diversity and intersectionality (1)


Travers Smith Partner Mahesh Varia, CSR & Diversity Director Chris Edwards, and Associates Priya Bansal and Sarah Owadally, recently discussed the business case for diversity and intersectionality, as part of a series of podcasts produced by Chambers Student.

Creating a fully inclusive workplace, in which everyone can be themselves, is one of the top priorities for Travers Smith. In the podcast, the participants share their personal experiences and views on the progress of the diversity agenda at Travers Smith, as well as the wider legal market. The discussion examines the numerous diversity and inclusion initiatives that are established across the firm, and specifically addresses the activities of Travers Smith's four D&I network groups – LGBT+, BAME, Faith Resource and Gender Balance - and their significance in providing its members and allies with an opportunity to voice opinions and concerns to help create an open and supportive environment.
