Travers Smith's Senior Partner Andrew Gillen has been recognised in Financial News' Fifty Most Influential Lawyers 2026, an annual list which recognises leading European legal professionals across M&A, Capital Markets, Financial Regulation, and Private Markets.
Andrew was appointed Senior Partner in January 2024. Before this, he was the Head of the Travers Smith Corporate M&A and ECM Group for several years.
Andrew has previously sat on the Partnership Board, including throughout the Covid pandemic years, and was formerly the Head of the firm's International Board, where he played a pivotal role in formalising the firm's approach to international work, including the launch of the international secondment programme, and has developed a strong international client base, regularly advising non-UK companies on cross-border transactions and on investments into the UK.
He is also ranked Band 1 for Corporate M&A: £100-800 million and Band 2 for Capital Markets AIM by Chambers and Partners and is recognised in Legal 500's Hall of Fame for Equity Capital Markets.
