Travers Smith has advised long-standing client Marshall Group on the sale of Marshall Aerospace to global private equity investor Aurelius.
Marshall Aerospace is one of the UK's largest independent aerospace companies, headquartered in Cambridge. Specialising in the modification, conversion, maintenance and support of military and commercial aircraft, Marshall Aerospace delivers complex engineering programmes across fixed and rotary wing platforms, with a strong heritage in C-130 Hercules support and a growing capability in uncrewed and autonomous systems serving customers across the globe.
The Travers Smith team on this transaction was led by Corporate Partner Ella Sharpley and Director Neal Watson, supported by Senior Associates Celina Chang and Gareth Atkins, and Associate Gloria Cuccu. Specialist advice was also provided by our Technology & Commercial Transactions Director Michael Ross and Senior Associate Nick Brady, and by Competition Partner Nigel Seay and Senior Associate Theodora Zagoriti.
This is the fourth carve-out sale Travers Smith has advised Marshall Group on in the past two years, following the sale of Marshall Land Systems to Flowing River Capital, the sale of Slingsby Advanced Composites to Mangohojden AB, and the sale of Marshall Fleet Solutions to Trane Technologies.
