Livingbridge VC LLP sells Baronsmead and Equity Funds investment management business to Gresham House plc


Travers Smith LLP has advised Livingbridge on the sale of its Baronsmead VCTs and Equity Funds investment management business (the “VC Business”) to Gresham House plc, a specialist alternative asset manager listed on the London Stock Exchange.

The Travers Smith team was led by Private Equity Partner Will Yates and also included Private Equity Senior Counsel Moushumi Sharmacharja and Corporate Associates Sally Hirst and Raphaella Gabrasadig, Commercial Partner Ben Chivers and Senior Associate Sonny Mallet, Tax Partner Hannah Manning and Senior Associate Thomas Rickford and Financial Services and Markets Consultant Jane Thornton.

Livingbridge is a £2bn AUM mid-market private equity firm with over 90 people in the UK, US and Australia. The VC Business being sold to Gresham House plc is the investment manager of over £500m AUM, comprising two VCTs investing in unquoted and quoted companies and two dedicated OEICs primarily investing in UK quoted companies.
