Travers Smith advises on the sale of Radley

Overview

Travers Smith LLP has advised longstanding client Exponent Private Equity Partners, and other selling shareholders, on the sale of the entire issued share capital of Truly SPV 1 Limited, the holding company of Radley London, to Bregal Freshstream. The acquisition was Bregal Freshstream's third investment since launching its first fund.

Radley is a leading British handbag and accessories brand in the affordable luxury market, with a multi-channel business and established distribution network covering the UK, Europe and Asia.

The Travers Smith team was led by Private Equity partner Lucie Cawood, who was supported by corporate associates George Weavil and Aisling Arthur.  Additional specialist advice was provided by Tax partners Simon Skinner and Jess Kemp and finance senior counsel Douglas Hawthorn.

Management were advised by CMS Cameron McKenna LLP, led by partner Louise Wallace and senior associate Narinder Jugpal. Cavendish (led by Jonathan Buxton) provided corporate finance advice to the selling shareholders.

Willkie Farr & Gallagher (UK) LLP partner Claire McDaid advised Bregal Freshstream in connection with the acquisition.
